Date: May 29th - May 31st, 2022.
On the 9th day I headed to Tso Moriri, another big lake which is totally in India. Instead of going from Chushul via Nyoma to Mahe check post, I directly took the less ridden road to Mahe check post. The road is well maintained and I only saw 2 cars on this road.
I stayed 2 nights at Tso Moriri and met a fellow solo rider Bedanta who is from Assam but settled in Bangalore. He rides fast and we went for a ride with his go pro camera on the other side of the Tso Moriri lake, it was a fun hangout.

On the 11th day I headed to Hemis Monastery via Tangang La pass. It is a little above 17,000 ft high and the 3rd highest motorable pass in the world. The first 100 kms is off road until one hits Leh-Manali highway. From this pass one can see Tso Kar lake which is almost dried up. I took some photos and headed to the Hemis monastery.
