Trip date: 28 June, 2017. Took a day trip to Berctesgaden from Saltzburg and it was one of the vacation destination spots of Adolf Hitler. Took the bus however, that day it was very cloudy as we could not get good views of the place. So it is better to enquire about the weather before you visit the place. The tickets are expensive so better safe than sorry. You could also do a hike and hit various scenic spots as part of the hike.
I also went to see the town and it was a good walk. Always loved those isolated houses with huge lawns in front of it.
